The sequence of numbers above are
known as the Fibonacci Series. Their progression follows the same
numbering system as Life's pattern of growth. For example, for every 3
turns on a plant there are 5 leaves, and every 8 turns there are 13
leaves. This can be seen easliy in the spiralling progression in
sunflowers or pinecones.

The growth of our own body is reflected by the phi ratio, which is the
non-terminating number 1.6180339... If you take any higher number in the
Fibonacci sequence and divide it by the previous number, it will
approximate this number phi. The hjigher the Fibonacci numbers used, the
closer to phi it gets. Simply put... phi is the number of Life.
The observable characteristic of phi is shown in illus.1 above. The
medium length(b) is to the shortest length(a) as the longest(c) is to the
medium length(b). This can be seen divided up in the human body in da
Vinci's sketch of man, Taking our hand for example, the palm of the
hand is to the fingers the same ratio as the palm plus fingers is to the
palm area.
The Fibonacci spiral is used to illustrate the growth of Life because
it incorporates whole numbers that logically must be used in Nature (has a
definite beginning point). As the numbers/spiral increases, there is a
closer approximation to phi/golden mean spiral. This is the way that
finite Life on the Earth gradually comes close to the ideal structure of
Heaven!
